Founder
Dr. Samuel Noordhoof was born in Iowa of United States on June 29, 1927. He graduated from the University of Iowa School of Medicine. Dr. Noordhoff and his family arrived in Taiwan in 1959 as medical missionaries and served as the Superintendent of Mackay Memorial Hospital.
Mission
NCF was founded by Dr. Samuel Noordhoff in 1989 for the purpose of helping congenital craniofacial patients obtain appropriate medical treatment, improving the quality of craniofacial treatment, and advocating for the care of craniofacial patients in the community.
Financials
The NCF is supported by citizens and partnering organizations to provide comprehensive care for patients with congenital craniofacial deformity in Taiwan and the rest of the world. You may find the annual reports here.
Leadership
NCF is overseen by Board of Directors and helmed by a Chief Executive Officer. NCF is structured around distinct operational departments, including Social Work, Resource Development, International Cooperation, Administration, and Finance.
Our Model
Holistic healthcare, capacity building and partnerships form the core of NCF model. We believe that repairing patients' psychological scars is just as important as the physical ones. Capacity building and long-term partnership are our highlights as well.
